The Studio

Engram  an independentAI and CGI studio

Engram is an independent creative studio working across AI, CGI and moving image. We combine creative direction, emerging technology and traditional visual craft to create images and films beyond conventional production boundaries.

Manifesto

Three thingswe refuse tonegotiate.

01

Direction before technology

The model is a tool, not an aesthetic. Every project is art-directed first and produced second.

02

One idea, held completely

We would rather deliver a single uncompromised image than a folder of near-misses.

03

Craft in the last ten percent

Grade, grain, texture and sound are not finishing touches. They are the difference between output and work.

How we work

  • 01Idea

We start with the brief and argue with it. What is the image actually for, and what would make it impossible to ignore?

  • 02Direction

References, palette, lens language, tone. Everything is decided on paper before a single frame is generated or rendered.

  • 03Production

Generative models, CGI and photographic craft run in one pipeline. Iteration is fast, but the direction never drifts.

  • 04Post

Grade, grain, retouch, sound. This is where a generated image stops looking generated and starts looking authored.

  • 05Delivery

Masters in every format the campaign needs — stills, social, broadcast, print — with usage agreed upfront.
